The National Monuments Service's description

In level undulating pasture with moderate views in all directions, 210m NE of townland boundary with Knocknagranshy. Possible ringfort (LI02-123----) lies 185m to SW. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork with radiating field boundaries at SSE and SSW. Shown on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a D-shaped area (approx. 27.5m N-S) defined by a scarp from NE-E-S with straight side at W. The W side of the monument was levelled between these map dates. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000, described as a raised circular-shaped area (18m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 7.1m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8m) from N-E-S-SSW reduced to a scarp from SSW-W-N. The interior is level and overgrown with trees. Tree-covered monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages taken in 2020.
