The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture with moderate views in all directions. Not depicted on the 1840 OS 6-inch map or the 1897 OS 25-inch map. Identified from an examination of aerial photographs of the region during work on the Curraleigh–Limerick gas pipeline in 1986 (BGE 1:10000 No. 40). Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a raised circular shaped area (10m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 3.8m; H 0.5m) best preserved from E-SSE and SSW-NW and almost flattened from SSE-SSW. The undulating interior is clear of growth. Outline of monument clearly visible on OSi aerial image taken 2005-12 and Google Earth orthoimage taken 16/03/2016.
See attached sketch plan drawn by the ASI and Google Earth orthoimage
