The National Monuments Service's description
A togher (L 4.15m min.; Wth 0.8m; D 0.06m), noted in 1989, consisted of longitudinal brushwood secured with occasional diagonals. The orientation was ENE-WSW. Radiocarbon dated to 3329-2910 BC (4410±45 BP, GrN-18376). When inspected in 1999 the togher (L 180m; Wth 0.7-1.7m) extended across the surface of nine fields. Its orientation ranged from ENE-WSW at 16A to NE-SW at 16E, however, at 16D the brushwood ran E-W. The remains consisted of tightly packed, longitudinal, parallel brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.03m), fine twigs and roundwood, no more than one to two layers in thickness. Some pegs (diam. 0.03-0.035m) were evident. The original form of the feature was visible at 18E. Two parallel, longitudinal roundwoods (1.2m apart; diam. 0.08m) formed the edges of the track. A transverse piece of brushwood (diam. 0.03m) was visible here (Dunne 1999, 7, 99LBW0016A-E). (Raftery 1996, Corlea 11, 91-2)
