The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on top of and extending along the SE face of a ridge, on the foothills of Knockanoughanish Mountain. A curvilinear stretch (L c. 45m) of relict field wall runs downslope from Lehid at N in a general S-SW direction into Cummers East townland. Further to the SE in Cummers East another stretch (L c. 52m) meanders downslope from N in a S-SW direction. At c. 22m from the N along this stretch another field wall (L c. 24m) branches off to the W and then curves to the N. All walls are in a collapsed state and the lower course stones protrude above the bog surface. In the initial, easternmost stretch large upright stones (H 0.8m; 0.55m x 0.3m) are set at 1.5-2.5m intervals along the line of the wall. Smaller stones, which were originally set in between the uprights, have now fallen.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
