The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a NW-facing slope of Knockanoughanish Mountain. A subcircular partially grass-covered cairn (8m E-W; 7m N-S; H 0.8m) comprising stones of various shapes and sizes. A central hollow appears to be the result of disturbance. The perimeter of the cairn has also been disturbed in places.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
