The National Monuments Service's description

In woodland, just S of a precipice edge, c. 170m to the E of Dundag Point, overlooking Muckross Lake, in Killarney National Park. Two separate sections of a collapsed souterrain are at right angle to each other. A section (L 4.8m; Wth 0.25m; H 0.4m) of a roofless passage (long axis NE-SW), with limestone corbelled walls, is exposed. This passage widens to an oval area (Wth 0.8m) before being truncated by a path at the SW end. The base of the passage is silted up. At right angles, c. 0.5m from the NE end, is the second passage (L 3m; Wth 0.6m; D 0.45m) of similar construction. This passage narrows to a lintelled entrance (L 0.46m; Wth 0.3m; H 0.7m) at the SE end which opens out into an oval corbelled stone-built chamber (H 1m; 1.5m NE-SW; 1.4m NW-SE), roofed with lintels.
