The National Monuments Service's description

A large circular enclosure situated on a N facing slope overlooking the Lispole valley. It measures 84m in diameter internally and the earthen enclosing bank is 1.25m high externally and 1.7m high internally. The bank has been rebuilt in places with stone. The external ditch around much of the N half of the site may be a field drain. At present access to the interior is provided by 2 breaks in the W part of the bank.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1550. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
