The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on heather and gorse-covered cutaway bog, on a gentle W-facing slope to the N of Miskish Mountain. Turf-cutting has exposed a series of relict stone field boundaries which extend in a general NE-SW direction throughout a roughly rectangular area (c. 190m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE). The remains of the walls are defined by stones which protrude at irregular intervals from turf banks (Wth 0.7-1m; H 0.3m) left by turf-cutting.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
