The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on the NE bank of a river on the lower NW-facing slopes of Miskish Mountain with clear views over Coulagh Bay. The rath survives as a damaged earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.85m) which forms an arc (L 23m; C 17m) SE-NW. Each end of the arc abuts the SW face of a linear NW-SE recent field boundary of earth and stone. According to local information the remainder of the enclosing bank existed 'long ago' on the NE side of the field boundary. It is no longer visible at ground level. The remaining bank is partially covered by gorse and briars and contains a souterrain (CO114-072002-) in its inner face.
