The National Monuments Service's description

Small burnt mound with very little (if any) surface expression. Located on raised ground to East of river. The surrounding area is boggy ground. Mound material (charcoal stained soil with a high frequency of burnt stone) revealed in drain where it lies just below sod mound c. 5m diameter and between 0.15m to 0.20m thick.
