The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on flat plateau above sharp fall of ground down to stream on N side. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 22m), truncated by field boundary to S, on 1842 OS 6-inch map; hachured arc of bank survives SW->NNE on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Circular slightly raised area (c. 20m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) SW->N; scarp elsewhere, difficult to trace accurately due to long grass. Bank heavily overgrown; interior grass-covered. One of two forts (CO029-081---) recorded by Bowman (1934, 275) on S. Walsh's land, as single-ramparted with diameters of c. 35yd and c. 31yd. Two ringforts also recorded by Broker (1937, 51); this is probably one in 'Faill field'.
