The National Monuments Service's description
On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to Moyhill townland. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 301) as a possibly medieval ‘basket buried in ancient estuarine clays exposed in the E side of creek on lower foreshore, c. 450m W of Bush Island, c. 80m NE of Shannon estuary channel LWM. Basket is of a broad U-shape, oriented NNE-SSW, 3.9m in exposed width and 3.6m in exposed length. A post-and-wattle panel and four large roundwood posts are buried in clays at NNE end of basket.
