The National Monuments Service's description

On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to Bush Island. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 301) as a post medieval ‘post-and-wattle fence curving down foreshore to LWM, intersecting with shore fence of Bush Island 2A-2B. Oriented NNE-SSW, 159m long. Probable fence from robbed-out fishtrap. July 2000.' (O'Sullivan 2001, 200-203, 301, Bush Island 2D)
