The National Monuments Service's description

On the steep NW slope of Knockanes Hill. Identified by Tom Coffey in 1994 SMR file). This fulacht fia is defined by a horseshoe-shaped mound (11m WNW-ESE; 9m NNE-SSW; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.4m) of stone and earth, overgrown by grass, with the opening (5m NNE-SSW; 3m WNW-ESE) to the SSW. Rough stonework delimits the N half of the opening. There is a spring well immediately to the SE of the fulacht fia. Compiled by: Mary Tunney and Conn Herriott Date of upload: 7 June 2023
