The National Monuments Service's description
In a low-lying damp area of mixed rough pasture and woodland, with a small stream nearby to SSW and another to the N, and with higher ground N-E-SE. Reported separately by Tom Coffey and Donncha Ó Dúlaing (SMR file). Listed in the RMP (1996) as one of several ‘fulachta fiadh’ in this vicinity (including CL010-124----, CL010-124002- and CL010-124003-). This small irregularly oval fulacht fia is comprised of a mound (9.8m ENE-WSW; 6m NNW-SSE) of burnt stone and ash, with a subcircular depression (max. diam. 2.5m; D 0.4m) to W of centre. Approximately 12m to the N is a concentration of burnt stone on exposed bedrock, which may be the eroded remains of another fulacht fia. There are three other fulachtaí fia nearby to the NW; one (CL010-124003-) c. 155m away, the second (CL010-124002-) c. 165m away, and a third (CL010-124----) c. 195m away.
