The National Monuments Service's description

On a S-facing slope, overlooking the karst landscape of the Burren NE-W and overlooked by higher ground W-NE. It consists of an oval, sod-covered mound (16m NE-SW; 9m NW-SE), appearing naturally formed for the most part, which has been utilised to site a small cairn. The mound is defined by a scarp (max. H 1.3m; Wth 3.7m) where steepest at ENE. The top of the mound (10m NE-SW; 4m NW-SE) is higher to NE where a low profile cairn (3.5m NE-SW; 2.75m NW-SE; max. H 0.35m) is sited comprising small- to medium-sized angular flagstones. A gentle, circular depression (diam. 3m) occupies the SW half of the mound. This is defined by two obvious upright stones (max. H 0.18m) situated at N and SW and another two less obvious stones at SE and WNW. Another cairn (CL035-153----) is located c. 92m to WSW. This may be one of the three 'mounds' listed in the RMP (1996) under the number CL006-085----.
