The National Monuments Service's description

On a S-facing slope overlooking the karst landscape of the Burren NE-W and overlooked by higher ground W-NE. It consists of a roughly pennanular mound (9.5m NW-SE; 7.5m NE-SW) which is best preserved (H 0.5m) E-SW where it is comprised of small- to medium-sized angular rocks. The mound (max. H 0.1m) is poorly preserved SW-E. The mound is sod covered for the most part with some stones protruding above the sod intermittently. The sides become gradually less steep around the NE and SW sides, where they form two ‘arms’ that enclose a gentle depression. The mound may have been open to WNW, where the enclosing elements are so low they are almost non-existent. It is unclear if this was once a hut site that has collapsed inwards to WNW or whether it was once a much longer mound that has degraded over time. There is a lot of loose rock in the vicinity on the surface of hillslope and a farm trackway is located c. 4m to SE. A cairn (CL006-153----) is located c. 79m to E. This may be one of the three 'mounds' listed in the RMP (1996) under the number CL006-085----.
