At the SE foot of Slievecarran with a limestone terrace immediately to the E and hazel scrub encroaching from N. A grass-covered horseshoe-shaped mound (11.8m N-S; 9.5m E-W; H 1m at E) with a depression (1.6m N-S; 4.3m E-W) opening to the W. Some exposed grey/black friable stone is visible at E.
