Chapelle construite en 1954-1955 pour desservir le quartier de la Plaine, par l'architecte Jean-Blaise Lombard qui s'adjoignit Henri Duverdier. L'édifice est conçu sur un plan trapézoïdal selon la forme du terrain d'assiette. Il est couvert par un voile de béton se relevant vers le choeur. Les murs sont en pierre de Valreuil dont la couleur ocre veinée de bleu s'accorde à celle des verrières. Ces dernières, panneaux de verres sertis de plomb, non figuratifs, sont dues au peintre Léon Zack. Avec sa fille Irène, il est également l'auteur du chemin de croix gravé à même le mur. Le maître verrier Jean Lesquibe a réalisé les vitraux en dalle de verre du baptistère.

History
Chapel built in 1954-1955 to serve the Plaine district, by the architect Jean-Blaise Lombard who was assisted by Henri Duverdier. The building is designed on a trapezoidal plan according to the shape of the site. It is covered by a concrete shell rising towards the choir. The walls are made of Valreuil stone whose ochre colour veined with blue matches that of the stained glass windows. The latter, panels of glasses set in lead, non-representational, are by the painter Léon Zack. With his daughter Irène, he is also the author of the Stations of the Cross engraved into the wall itself. The master glazier Jean Lesquibe created the glass block windows of the baptistry.
