Construit de 1883 à 1885, non modernisé avant 1914, le fort est demeuré dans son état original de batterie d'artillerie pour six pièces de siège et quatre en caponnière. Sont conservés les fours à pain, le puits et sa pompe, le pont-levis, ce qui est rare.

History
Constructed from 1883 to 1885, not modernised before 1914, the fort remained in its original state as an artillery battery for six pieces of siege and four in casemate. Preserved are the bread ovens, the well and its pump, the drawbridge, which is rare.
