La tour Beaumont a été construite en 1845 dans le cadre du plan de défense et de surveillance du rade de Toulon. History
The Beaumont tower was built in 1845 as part of the plan for the defence and surveillance of Toulon roadstead. It was converted into the Allied Landings Memorial Museum in August 1944, which comprises several exhibition rooms dedicated to the presentation of the various troops involved in the landings in Provence. Within the framework of the Master Plan for the defence of Toulon, Nicolas-François Milet de Monville (at the head of the fortifications of Provence) planned in 1763-1766 a programme of fortifications of Mont Faron.
