Le hameau de Fontgrande est entièrement conçu et construit par la Société des mines du marquis de Solages. Entre 1925 et 1935, on assiste à un renouveau de l'architecture scolaire. History
The hamlet of Fontgrande was entirely conceived and constructed by the Society of mines of the marquis de Solages. Between 1925 and 1935, there was a renewal of school architecture. The director of the mines society, Charles Peres, was himself interested in school architecture. The building site was completed in two years. Designed for a population of 500 pupils, children of miners.
