History

Construction typical of Romanesque churches of the end of the 12th century. This chapel was annexed to a small hospital built for shepherds of herds transhumant on the roads of the Carlitt, the Bouillouses and the Capcir. It was served by oblates under the direction of a priest. It depended on the monastery of Espira de Conflent which exercised jurisdiction. The chapel is oriented, with a single nave and a semi-circular apse. The western façade is surmounted by a porch tower equipped with two slightly round-arched arcatures. The interior of the nave is covered with a broken barrel vault. The back of the nave is occupied by a small gallery whose access is by a wooden staircase.
