History
The church was begun in 1882 by the architect Amable Barnier after a project by Jean Teillard, and continued by his son-in-law Adrien Mitton until 1901. Neo-Romanesque monument inspired by major Auvergnat Romanesque buildings. The building is constructed in arkose and Volvic lava. The vaults rest on a metal framework.
