History
The south wall of the café-restaurant room is adorned with a large mural decoration, painted in distemper and perhaps executed by one named Messine. One of the paintings represents Napoleon III; it is probably inspired by an Epinal image: the emperor is on horseback, in full uniform and holds his bicorne in his hand; he is accompanied by two officers, before a landscape of pines and cypresses. Another painting represents Napoleon I from behind, at the summit of the Vendôme column.
