La rue de la Croix d'or s'appelait autrefois rue des Passagers. En 1598, l'immeuble où est à présent le logis de l'Etoile appartenait aux héritiers d'Amiel Curabec. Puis, en 1600, il est devenu la propriété d'Aubert Arquié qui y avait placé l'enseigne du Mouton d'Or. Le 31 octobre 1609, Jean Mouton, achète le logis et aurait changé l'enseigne à cause de la coïncidence des noms en logis de la Croix d'or. Des travaux sont réalisés vers 1657 par Pierre Panafieu.

History
The rue de la Croix d'or was formerly called rue des Passagers. In 1598, the building where the logis de l'Etoile now stands belonged to the heirs of Amiel Curabec. Then, in 1600, it became the property of Aubert Arquié who had placed the sign of the Golden Sheep there. On 31 October 1609, Jean Mouton purchases the logis and is said to have changed the sign on account of the coincidence of names to logis de la Croix d'or. Work was carried out around 1657 by Pierre Panafieu.
