Cette fontaine fut construite, vers 1860, afin de célébrer le traité de Paris qui mit un terme à la guerre de Crimée, en 1856. Elle se distingue par le soin apporté à sa réalisation et son décor sculpté, de style néo-classique, s'inspire de thème guerriers. Cet ouvrage est un témoignage rare de construction par un particulier, dédié à ce conflit éloigné de l'Empire qui fut particulièrement meurtrier.

History
This fountain was constructed, around 1860, in order to celebrate the Treaty of Paris which put an end to the Crimean War in 1856. It is distinguished by the care taken in its realisation and its sculptured decoration, of neo-classical style, which draws inspiration from military themes. This work is a rare testimony of construction by a private individual, dedicated to this conflict remote from the Empire which was particularly deadly.
