L'aspect 19e siècle du bâtiment cachait, intacte, la structure d'un édifice médiéval. Il s'agirait d'un bâtiment situé à la limite de l'ensemble abbatial et du quartier canonial, désigné dès le 16e siècle sous l'appellation de grenier. L'étage a sans doute servi de dortoir aux jeunes chanoines. Cette maison est un témoignage de l'ensemble monumental qui était lié à la basilique Saint-Sernin.

History
The 19th-century appearance of the building concealed, intact, the structure of a medieval edifice. It would be a building situated at the boundary of the abbatial complex and the canonry quarter, designated from the 16th century onwards under the name of granary. The upper storey probably served as a dormitory for the young canons. This house is testimony to the monumental complex which was linked to the Basilica of Saint-Sernin.
