History

Without excluding the survival of older parts, and notably the tower situated at the north-west corner, the building is more probably an 18th-century adaptation of an older building, perhaps a mill. The plan of the dwelling is imbued with classicism and four rooms unfold in enfilade on either side of an entrance hall at the back of which starts the straight-flight staircase. Through double doors surmounted by allegories in stucco, one accesses the great drawing room and the dining room. The great drawing room is wainscoted with moulded wooden panels. This room is extended by a small reception room covered with Jouy fabric. At the opposite end, the dining room presents a wall occupied by cupboards with Louis XV woodwork. To a central avant-corps of slight projection, surmounted by a triangular pediment, correspond two projections at the two ends. The central section is pierced with round-arch openings; the others are all of rectangular form. The central balcony is adorned with a railing bearing the initials of the de Lussy.
