This convent, founded in 1623 by the Observant Franciscans, was, in 1757, the scene of combat between the troops of general Pascal Paoli and those of Emmanuel Matra, during which the latter was killed. Disused in 1791, it served as barracks for the gendarmerie from 1804 to 1863. From that date, it was entirely privatised. The church fell into ruin in the 1820s. Rebuilt in 1865, it regained its function as a parish church. The convent presents an L-shaped plan, with the church in a corner return. The northern lateral elevation of the church comprises three staggered chapels. To the east, the chevet with flat back is extended by another building. The convent building is attached to the southern elevation of the choir. Extensively altered, it has retained only the upper part of an arcade of the old church on the ground floor. The upper floor is served by a corridor onto which open, on either side, the doors of the former cells. The bend that the corridor makes towards the east attests to the probable existence of a wing now disappeared. The upper gallery appears to be a late addition. Preceded by a landing on the upper floor, it is attached to the southern elevation of the church and ends with a high door which opens onto empty space.
