Historique
L'église appartiendrait au groupe le plus ancien des églises romanes corses. C'est un édifice de plan rectangulaire au chevet semi-circulaire, flanqué au nord d'une chapelle latérale (17e-18e siècle). Un clocher-mur surmonte l'élévation antérieure (17e-18e siècle). A l'intérieur, le cul de four de l'abside est orné de fresques. Au premier registre, et à l'intérieur de cadres architecturaux, se trouvent les douze apôtres dont les noms sont inscrits sur la bande qui délimite ce registre. Au deuxième apparaît un Christ en majesté entouré du tétramorphe. Sur l'arc triomphal est représentée l'Annonciation dont seul subsiste l'Archange Gabriel. Au registre inférieur figure Saint-Bernardin, ancien patron de l'église. Le mur nord conserve un détail d'une scène de la Passion avec la représentation de soldats romains.

History
The church would belong to the oldest group of Corsican Romanesque churches. It is a building of rectangular plan with semi-circular chevet, flanked to the north by a lateral chapel (17th-18th century). A porch tower surmounts the front elevation (17th-18th century). Inside, the cul de four of the apse is decorated with frescoes. At the first register, and within architectural frames, are the twelve apostles whose names are inscribed on the band delimiting this register. At the second appears a Christ in Majesty surrounded by the tetramorph. On the triumphal arch is represented the Annunciation, of which only the Archangel Gabriel remains. In the lower register appears Saint Bernardinus, former patron of the church. The north wall preserves a detail of a scene of the Passion with the representation of Roman soldiers.
