Historique
Achevée en 1721, l'église piévane a été reconstruite sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne chapelle médiévale. Elle a fait l'objet de plusieurs restaurations au cours du 19e siècle et son décor intérieur est daté de 1863. La façade présente deux niveaux rythmés de pilastres, et se termine par un fronton triangulaire amorti d'acrotères sommés d'une croix. Le clocher, à quatre niveaux, a été flanqué dans le prolongement de la façade. Les élévations latérales présentent chacune un décrochement correspondant à une chapelle. Le chevet est à pignon. La couverture en lauze révèle la structure interne de l'édifice : une nef unique coupée d'un transept surélevé et un choeur. Au-dessus de la croisée du transept s'élève une coupole sur pendentifs. History
Completed in 1721, the parish church was rebuilt on the site of an old medieval chapel. It was the subject of several restorations during the course of the 19th century and its interior decoration is dated 1863. The façade presents two levels articulated by pilasters, and terminates in a triangular pediment dampened by acroteria topped with a cross. The bell tower, of four levels, was flanked in the extension of the façade. The lateral elevations each present a setback corresponding to a chapel. The chevet is a gable. The slate roof reveals the internal structure of the building: a single nave cut by a raised transept and a choir. Above the crossing of the transept rises a dome on pendentives. The painted decoration is characterized by the richness of its polychromy and the variety of motifs.
