History
Inseparable from the Maison de la Culture site, the stadium was studied by Le Corbusier from 1955 as part of the Firminy-vert project, undertaken at the instigation of Eugène Claudius-Petit, mayor of the city and president of the municipal public housing office. The stadium was constructed from 1966 to 1968 by architect André Wogenscky, associate of Le Corbusier.
