Le château s'inscrit dans une enceinte pourvue d'une porte monumentale. Le plan de cette enceinte en forme de losange indique la présence d'une tour à chacun de ses angles. Un certain nombre de campagnes de travaux furent menées notamment au 13e siècle ainsi qu'au 17e siècle où le logis fut fortement modifié et un jardin régulier aménagé. La création de la charmille et les terrasses d'agrément datent également de cette dernière période. Une nouvelle campagne de travaux au début du 20e siècle achèvera de donner son aspect définitif à la demeure. L'intérieur conserve des éléments de décors intéressants : cheminée monumentale, papiers peints «Dufour» datés vers 1820, escalier avec sa rampe en fer forgé.

History
The castle stands within an enclosure equipped with a monumental gateway. The plan of this lozenge-shaped enclosure indicates the presence of a tower at each of its angles. A number of building campaigns were undertaken, notably in the 13th century as well as in the 17th century when the main dwelling was substantially modified and a formal garden laid out. The creation of the hedge gallery and pleasure terraces also date from this later period. A new building campaign in the early 20th century would complete the definitive appearance of the residence. The interior retains elements of interesting decoration: monumental fireplace, "Dufour" wallpapers dated around 1820, staircase with its wrought-iron railing.
