Les deux halles ont été construites au 16e siècle, sur l'ordre de Louise de Monmorency, châtelaine de Tanlay, qui avait obtenu de François Ier l'autorisation de créer des foires. Elles sont identiques, placées de part et d'autre de l'entrée de l'allée de tilleuls qui mène au château. Leur toit à trois pentes est couvert de petites tuiles plates et soutenu par six piliers en bois montés sur de petits socles de pierre.

History
The two market halls were built in the 16th century, on the orders of Louise de Monmorency, châtelaine of Tanlay, who had obtained from Francis I the authorisation to create fairs. They are identical, placed on either side of the entrance to the linden avenue which leads to the castle. Their roof with three slopes is covered with small flat tiles and supported by six wooden pillars mounted on small stone plinths.
