Historique
Abbaye fondée en 1133 par des religieux venant de l'abbaye de Pontigny. Une petite église fut construite en attendant la construction de la grande abbatiale et de l'abbaye. La fontaine de Saint-Gauthier amenait l'eau jusqu'au grand cloître par de longs conduits en pierre. L'église abbatiale fut entièrement démolie peu avant 1855. De l'abbaye, seuls subsistent deux bâtiments, dont le logement de l'abbé. Le logis abbatial, de la fin du 15e siècle, possède une tourelle dont l'intérieur se termine par un épanouissement de nervures fines et ornées d'écussons et d'inscriptions ; le bâtiment adjacent (logement des fermiers, étables, écuries) possède de belles voûtes à nervures ogivales du 13e siècle.

History
Abbey founded in 1133 by religious men coming from the abbey of Pontigny. A small church was built while awaiting the construction of the great abbatial church and the abbey. The fountain of Saint-Gauthier brought water to the great cloister by long stone conduits. The abbatial church was completely demolished shortly before 1855. Of the abbey, only two buildings remain, including the lodging of the abbot. The abbot's lodging, from the end of the 15th century, has a turret whose interior ends in a display of fine ribs decorated with escutcheons and inscriptions; the adjacent building (lodging of the farmers, stables, stables) has fine rib vaults of the 13th century.
