History
At some distance from the buildings of the abbey of Quincy, springs a source called the fountain of Saint-Gauthier which, by channels, supplied water to the monks. The water escapes into a basin through a monolith of two metres in height appearing to date from the beginning of the 13th century and decorated with eight small columns with capitals (monolith coming from the destroyed abbey church).
