Avant la Révolution, la Madeleine de Réno était un prieuré conventuel relevant de l'abbaye bénédictine de Thiron, fondée en 1109. Ce prieuré est mentionné dès 1147. Le prieuré disparut à la Révolution, les bâtiments et les terres furent vendus comme biens nationaux. La chapelle présente une nef simple et un choeur terminé par une abside ronde. De l'époque romane subsistent le porche occidental, des fenêtres sur la façade nord, ainsi que la trace de baies sur l'abside. Au 15e siècle, la charpente fut entièrement refaite avec poinçons et entraits apparents.

History
Before the Revolution, the Madeleine de Réno was a conventual priory dependent on the Benedictine abbey of Thiron, founded in 1109. This priory is mentioned as early as 1147. The priory disappeared at the Revolution, the buildings and lands were sold as national property. The chapel presents a simple nave and a choir terminated by a round chevet. From the Romanesque period there remain the western porch, windows on the north façade, as well as the trace of openings on the chevet. In the 15th century, the roof structure was entirely remade with punches and exposed tie-beams.
