La chapelle conserve le souvenir d'une des premières fondations monastiques de saint François. Située près de l'entrée de l'ancien couvent des frères mineurs, elle remplaça un sanctuaire plus ancien. L'édifice se compose d'une nef unique de quatre travées voûtées d'ogives, qui se termine par un chevet plat. Les vestiges de l'ancien cloître, démoli au 19e siècle, comportent quinze arcs formerets sur le mur de la galerie sud et deux autres en retour sur la galerie ouest. Cette galerie date du début du 14e siècle.

History
The chapel preserves the memory of one of the first monastic foundations of Saint Francis. Situated near the entrance of the old convent of the Friars Minor, it replaced an older sanctuary. The edifice consists of a single nave of four bays vaulted with ribs, which terminates in a flat chevet. The vestiges of the old cloister, demolished in the 19th century, comprise fifteen formerets on the wall of the south gallery and two others returning on the west gallery. This gallery dates from the beginning of the 14th century.
