Au début du 19e siècle, il existait encore à cet emplacement un très grand immeuble de 27 mètres de façade, avec cour intérieure, qui devait remonter au début du 17e siècle. Au cours du même siècle, toute la partie nord comprenant la cour, fut abattue et reconstruite. Il en fut de même de la partie sud. Seule subsiste, comme partie ancienne, une étroite zone médiane de la parcelle 627, avec une vieille porte piétonne sur la rue et un petit escalier situé immédiatement en arrière, avec volées droites séparées par un mur d'échiffre plein. La porte est placée sous un arc plein cintre. La clef très saillante est taillée en bossage, en tronc de pyramide. L'encadrement est travaillé de crossettes et de refends qui se prolongent aux pilastres latéraux. Ces pilastres supportent une moulure de couronnement et un fronton triangulaire rompu dont les rampants encadrent une boule portée par un dé. Le vantail se compose de deux panneaux médians rectangulaires, de deux panneaux en quart-de-cercle formant le tympan et, à la base, d'un panneau uni renforcé par des planches horizontales. Le tout est rassemblé par des clous à tête ronde et des clous à tête en losange.

History
At the beginning of the 19th century, there still existed at this location a very large building 27 metres of façade, with inner courtyard, which must have dated to the beginning of the 17th century. During the same century, the entire northern part comprising the courtyard was demolished and rebuilt. The same was done with the southern part. Only subsists, as an old part, a narrow median zone of lot 627, with an old pedestrian door on the street and a small staircase located immediately behind, with straight flights separated by a full mullion wall. The door is placed under a round arch. The very prominent keystone is cut in rustication, in truncated pyramid form. The frame is worked with crossettes and fluting which extend to the lateral pilasters. These pilasters support a crown moulding and a broken triangular pediment whose ramps frame a ball carried by a plinth. The door panel consists of two rectangular median panels, two quarter-circle panels forming the tympanum and, at the base, a plain panel reinforced by horizontal boards. All are gathered by round-headed nails and diamond-headed nails.
