Historique
La construction de l'édifice a dû se réaliser vers 1716-1720, pour Gabriel de Benoît. La partie la mieux conservée est le portail avec ses consoles et ses vantaux sculptés. De larges pilastres à refends marquent l'avant-corps, légèrement en saillie sur des dosserets nus. La clef est décorée d'une tête de femme. Les pilastres supportent de hautes consoles à doubles volutes contournées. Le tout est abrité par un entablement à larmier. Les vantaux sont séparés de l'imposte dormante par une traverse ornée de longs rinceaux qui amorcent l'encadrement du grand cartouche à médaillon oval sans décor. Chaque vantail est divisé en trois panneaux. L'intérieur conserve un grand salon aux décors en parfait état. La cheminée en marbre présente un trumeau orné de gypseries. Les panneaux étroits qui encadrent la cheminée sont ornés de trophées. Deux grands panneaux présentent des troquées, militaire pour l'un, avec instruments de musique pour l'autre. Tous les trophées en gypseries sont enrubannés et soutenus par de fines guirlandes qui se raccordent aux encadrements des tableaux. Les dessus-de-portes se composent de grands panneaux accostés d'ailerons, décorés d'urnes à guirlandes.

History
The construction of the edifice must have taken place around 1716-1720, for Gabriel de Benoît. The best-preserved part is the portal with its consoles and sculpted door leaves. Wide pilasters with finely-worked surfaces mark the avant-corps, slightly projecting over plain dosserets. The keystone is decorated with a woman's head. The pilasters support high consoles with double contorted scrolls. All is sheltered by an entablature with drip moulding. The door leaves are separated from the fixed impost by a cross-piece ornamented with long rinceaux which begin the frame of the large cartouche with oval medallion without decoration. Each door leaf is divided into three panels. The interior preserves a large room with decoration in perfect condition. The marble fireplace presents an overmantel ornamented with gypsum work. The narrow panels which frame the fireplace are ornamented with trophies. Two large panels present trophies, military for one, with musical instruments for the other. All the gypsum work trophies are beribbon and supported by fine garlands which connect to the frames of the paintings. The over-door panels consist of large panels flanked by ailerons, decorated with garland urns.
