Ce petit hôtel est un exemple intéressant de constructions suburbaines qui s'élevèrent, à Nîmes, au cours du 18e siècle, sur d'anciens terrains de culture mis en lotissement. Trois principaux lotissements furent construits, dont celui situé au centre du faubourg, appelé du baron l'Aigremont et bâti de 1774 à 1777. Ce dernier lotissement était le plus important. Les plus anciennes constructions s'alignèrent au long de la rue Notre-Dame. La façade sur rue présente trois baies par étage. Au premier étage, le balcon droit se compose d'un panneau, de deux pilastres latéraux et des deux panneaux des retours. Le grand panneau s'orne d'un motif central à fleuron. Le remplage est constitué par de longues et fines volutes en S dont l'oeil commun est orné de marguerites en tôle. Les liaisons sont entrecroisées. Les panneaux et pilastres latéraux sont constitués par des éléments analogues. Un passage axial conduit à une petite cour resserrée entre deux retours de bâtiments en ailes. Contre la façade de cette cour s'étend, d'une aile à l'autre, une galerie de communication. Cette terrasse s'appuie sur trois arcs aux clés sculptées en console. La ferronnerie de l'appui épouse les inflexions du plan. Le grand panneau central, convexe, se relie par deux pilastres aux panneaux latéraux concaves. Le remplage symétrique, axé sur une tige feuillue, est composé de volutes. Le deuxième étage possède également une galerie de communication mais rectiligne et plus étroite.

History
This small hotel is an interesting example of suburban buildings which rose in Nîmes during the 18th century on old cultivated land divided into plots. Three main developments were built, including the one located in the centre of the suburb, called baron l'Aigremont and built from 1774 to 1777. This latter development was the most important. The oldest buildings lined up along rue Notre-Dame. The façade on the street presents three openings per floor. On the first floor, the straight balcony consists of a panel, two lateral pilasters and two panels of the returns. The large panel is decorated with a central motif with a floret. The tracery is constituted by long and fine S-shaped volutes whose common eye is decorated with marguerites in sheet metal. The connections are interlaced. The panels and lateral pilasters are constituted by analogous elements. An axial passage leads to a small courtyard squeezed between two returns of buildings in wings. Against the façade of this court extends, from one wing to the other, a communication gallery. This terrace rests on three arches with keys sculpted in console.
