La maison a perdu de la surface (occupant tout un ilôt) entre 1543 et 1753. Contrairement à la plupart des grandes maisons limouxines, celle-ci n'a jamais comporté de jardin. Un large passage, avec arcs en anse de panier, permettait l'accès des voitures dans la cour. Perpendiculairement à ce passage, une galerie desservait, à droite, les appartements et, à gauche, la cage d'escalier. L'escalier comprend deux volées droites et un palier intermédiaire. Il s'arrête au premier étage. Les limons reposent sur des murs. Aux changements de direction, la rampe épouse le tracé en hélice du limon. Cette rampe est constituée par des panneaux allongés, séparés de place en place par des panneaux étroits et un peu plus élevés, qui soutiennent la main courante. L'ornementation comprend, d'une part, une série de volutes en fer carré ; d'autre part quelques tiges de fer rond étiré et ondulé, disposées symétriquement. History
The house lost surface area (occupying an entire block) between 1543 and 1753. Unlike most large Limoux houses, this one never had a garden. A wide passage, with basket-handle arches, allowed access for vehicles into the courtyard. Perpendicular to this passage, a gallery served, on the right, the apartments and, on the left, the stairwell. The staircase comprises two straight flights and an intermediate landing. It stops at the first floor. The stringers rest on walls. At the changes of direction, the handrail follows the spiral outline of the stringer. This handrail is constituted by elongated panels, separated here and there by narrow panels slightly more elevated, which support the rail. The ornamentation comprises, on one hand, a series of volutes in square iron; on the other hand some stems of round iron drawn and undulated, arranged symmetrically. These round irons are worked in the form of stylized plant stems, without sheet-metal foliage.
