In 1834, the house was inhabited by Martin Dauch, descendant of the deputy of the Third Estate who became famous for his opposition to the Tennis Court Oath. It is not possible, however, to assert that deputy Martin Dauch lived there in 1789. The house presents itself as a vast dwelling on a rectangular plan, with one storey over a ground floor and a roof space. The main façade has nine openings per storey. The side façade, with a gable on the street, opens at the base by a large undecorated stable portal. The entrance door opens between two pilasters with rustication, with a very low-slung arched entablature. The top of this arch is occupied by a Louis XV console with a shell motif. The doors, restored, still show, in the lower part, a marquetry panel. The upper frame is adorned by a large painting with an undulating outline. The grand staircase, which serves only the first storey, develops in three flights. At the second landing branches off a service staircase which joins the level of the first storey. The handrail is composed of very long panels, one per flight, connected at the angles by assembly panels or pilasters. In each of the large panels, the ironwork is folded and undulated in the form of lobed leaves, supported by scrolls which correspond to and balance each other around the central motif. The single panel of the first storey gallery differs from the preceding ones only by an arrangement of motifs around a central coat of arms in sheet metal, with double faces. This cartouche is surmounted by a comital crown. The armorial bearings, which were painted or applied on two accosted oval shields, have completely disappeared.
