Historique
Construction sans doute antérieure au 16e siècle. Maison de deux étages sur rez-de-chaussée et un demi-étage supérieur, chacun en encorbellement sur le précédent. L'encorbellement du premier étage sur rez-de-chaussée est constitué par une série de trois sommiers qui supportent les poutrelles rapprochées qui soutiennent elles-mêmes la sablière. Les joints du plancher en encorbellement sont garnis par dessous, pour éviter le passage de l'air, de minces liteaux couvre-joints très fibreux qui ont conservé quelques traces de leur ancien décor peint au pochoir. Les extrémités de toutes les pièces de bois en saillie sont sculptées. Des emblêmes sont sculptés en creux sur les faces des poutres. Ces poutres chargées de symboles orientaux et chrétiens auraient été apportées du dehors et juxtaposées aux poutres primitives. History
Construction probably earlier than the 16th century. House of two storeys above a ground floor and a half-storey above, each corbelling out over the one below. The corbelling of the first storey over the ground floor is made up of a series of three sleepers which support the close-spaced joists that in turn support the wall-plate. The joints of the corbelled floor are filled underneath, to prevent passage of air, with thin strip battens of fibrous material which have retained some traces of their former stencilled painted decoration. The ends of all the wood pieces in projection are carved. Emblems are carved in relief on the faces of the beams. These beams laden with oriental and Christian symbols are said to have been brought from outside and juxtaposed with the original beams. According to a painting from 1907, a carved wooden window opened on the first storey of rue du Pont.
