Historique
La façade en avant-solier sur la place, présente des arcades visiblement remaniées, sans doute de 1683 ou plus récentes. Dans cette partie, une fenêtre à meneaux s'ouvre au premier étage, dans chacune des trois directions : place et rues. Les filets qui ornent ces meneaux ne permettent guère de les dater avant le 17e siècle. Les façades qui prolongent l'immeuble dans la rue Lamoureux présentent un encorbellement en pierre à deux étages. Le premier est supporté par un triple corbeau, probable reste d'une ancienne façade en encorbellement ultérieurement remaniée. Au-dessus d'une porte en plein cintre est incrusté un gros bloc de pierre taillé, présentant des traces d'armoiries. Il semble rappeler les armes royales qui étaient apposées sur certains édifices publics. Ici, cela pourrait correspondre à l'époque où la justice n'était pas encore transférée rue du Roumanou (avant 1650).

History
The façade overlooking the square, presented by the ground floor, displays arcades which are visibly altered, probably from 1683 or later. In this part, a mullioned window opens on the first floor, in each of the three directions: square and streets. The fillets which ornament these mullions hardly allow them to be dated before the 17th century. The façades which extend the building into the rue Lamoureux present a stone corbelled projection at two storeys. The first is supported by a triple corbel, probable remnant of an old corbelled façade subsequently altered. Above a round-arch door is inset a large block of dressed stone, displaying traces of heraldry. It seems to recall the royal arms which were affixed to certain public buildings. Here, this could correspond to the period when justice had not yet been transferred to rue du Roumanou (before 1650).
