Remains of a Gallo-Roman fanum consisting of a cone of masonry formed by regular courses of rubble stone, joined by very hard mortar of shell-sand. It is possible that ashlar facing originally faced this rubble, but all trace of it has disappeared. Either as a result of excavations or by collapse of the substructures, the mass has tilted towards the south. At the beginning of the 20th century, a second mass was visible nearby, representing the upper part of the building, but it was broken up and has disappeared.
