Le couvent a été fondé en 1470 par Pierre Cadouet, alors prieur de la collégiale de Notre-Dame de Sales. Au début du 16e siècle, une chapelle funéraire est construite pour Pierre d'Amboise, époux d'Anne de Bueil. Du couvent, reconstruit après un incendie survenu en 1548, subsistent certains bâtiments, dont deux travées d'une chapelle latérale de l'église. Petit séminaire de 1822 à 1857. The convent was founded in 1470 by Pierre Cadouet, then prior of the collegiate church of Notre-Dame de Sales.
