Le cloître a été édifié vers 1515. Il provient du couvent de Carmes établi par une fondation de Jean Pelourde, en 1374, sur la place du Noher (actuelle place Cujas). Il a été transféré dans l'ancien couvent des Clarisses (aujourd'hui collège et lycée privés Sainte-Marie-Saint-Dominique) en 1861. L'église des Carmes a été démolie en 1878.

History
The cloister was built around 1515. It comes from the convent of Carmes established by a foundation of Jean Pelourde, in 1374, on the place du Noher (present-day place Cujas). It was transferred to the former convent of the Clarisses (today private college and secondary school Sainte-Marie-Saint-Dominique) in 1861. The church of the Carmes was demolished in 1878.
