Historique
La porte s'élève sur la façade de l'hôtel de ville. Elle présente un cintre se développant entre deux étages de colonnettes, surmonté d'un oculus sous un fronton dominé par trois croissants. La frise portait les blasons des capitouls, martelés en 1793. En 1671, la porte fut transférée par l'architecte Pierre Mercier sur la façade de l'Arsenal, plus tard la Commutation. History
The door rises on the facade of the town hall. It presents a curved arch developing between two tiers of small columns, topped by an oculus under a pediment dominated by three crescents. The frieze bore the coats of arms of the capitouls, defaced in 1793. In 1671, the door was transferred by architect Pierre Mercier to the facade of the Arsenal, later the Commutation. A square cartouche was added, with the new coats of arms of the capitouls of that year.
